The Simple & Super Fun Guide to Summer in Chicago

This blog is dedicated to our home city of Chicago. Summer here is THE. BEST. EVER. Biking to work, strolling along the lakeshore, sipping rosé on a rooftop, pretty much just being outside doing anything after the harsh winter makes me so happy. While it may not feel like it today, (as I'm writing this, the current temp is 57 degrees. Seriously?!) summer is upon us and here at the office we've been getting excited about all of the great things Chicago has to offer.

FESTIVALS!
Chicago finds ways to celebrate life in so many different ways during the summer. Here a few special ones that I'm really looking forward to

Music:

-Pitchfork Music Festival - July 17 - 19 - So many hipsters in such a small space
-Chicago Jazz Festival - Sept 3-6 - I love me some jazzmatazz

Arts & Crafts:

Dose Market - we'll be there on Sunday! Come check it out!!
Renegade Craft Pop Up - June 27 & 28
Renegade Craft Fair - Sept 18 - 20

Food Festivals:

Taste of Chicago - July 8 - 12 - It gets so crowded, but it's so worth it.
Chicago Margarita Festival - July 25 - because why not?
Chicago Food Social - Aug 22 & 23 - food trucks!

Parks and Such:

-The new 606 - This beautiful park just opened and Time Out has a great guide to all the fun things happening  around it http://www.timeout.com/chicago/the-606-guide
-Movies in the Park -- Because watching Mrs. Doubtfire in Wicker Park is just so good (especially with some Big Star Tacos!)
-Free concerts in Millenium Park - bring your own picnic!

Summer Dining:

Farmer's Markets
Our favorites are at Logan Square and Wicker Park. You can find the BEST fruit and veggies there. Grab a coffee, stroll the shops and take it all in. It's great people watching.
