Donuts are all the rage, but not everyone feels so great after eating one of those gluten-laden, overly sweet spheres. We've created a sublime alternative that, in our opinion, is even better than the original donut. Oh, and not to mention: this breakfast treat will leave you feeling wonderful.

"Wow" your most serious donut lovers with this simple, grain-free recipe. Foodies and fun-lovers, add your own touch of sprinkles or coconut flakes for that extra donutty style!
Here’s what you’ll need and how to make them:
Yummy Simple Mills Grain-Free Donuts
One and a half bags of focaccia and sandwich mix
3 eggs
½ cup of maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¾ cup coconut milk
3 tablespoons coconut oil
1 cup dark chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Mix wet ingredients well: eggs, maple syrup, vanilla extract, coconut milk and melted coconut oil
- Add Simple Mills focaccia and sandwich mix, mix well
- Grease baking pan with coconut oil
- Pour batter into a donut pan, or for the donuts in these pictures without holes, we used biscuit cutters to cut the batter
- Bake for 10-15 minutes in the oven, make sure to check at 10 minutes
For chocolate glaze:
- Heat a skillet with water and put on the stove with fire on high
- Put a saucepan inside the skillet to heat the chocolate chips, stir the chips to melt them.
- Alternatively, as a shortcut, microwave chocolate chips in a bowl for 1 minute, then remove the bowl when ½ the chips are melted
- Stir all chips together to melt them all
- When donuts are done, dip into the chocolate sauce, and chill in the fridge immediately for 30 minutes
